Delete Your NextWallet Account
Version 1.0 · Effective Date: 9-6-2026 · Last Updated: 9-6-2026
This page explains how to delete your NextWallet account and the data associated with it. NextWallet is published by NextDrive LLC.
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app. If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot sign in, use the email request below and we will do it for you.
1. Delete it yourself, from the app
- Open NextWallet and sign in.
- Open the Profile tab and scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. You are signed out as soon as it finishes.
If you are currently linked to a carrier, the app will not let you delete the account yet — and it tells you so. Federal law makes the carrier keep your Driver Qualification File for three years after you leave (49 C.F.R. § 391.51), and that file lives in your account, so they have to freeze their own copy first.
To start that: open the Company tab, scroll to the danger zone at the bottom, and tap Request to leave this company. Once they complete your offboarding, come back and the delete option will work.
2. Or ask us to delete it
Write to admin@nextdrive.cloud from the email address on your NextWallet account, with the subject “Delete my account”. Include the email address you used to sign up.
We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it, and we complete the deletion within 30 days. We will write back when it is done. You can also reach us by mail at 2475 Paseo de las Americas, 3052, San Diego, CA 92154.
3. What is deleted, and what is kept
Deleted permanently. All of it, in both the database and file storage:
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Your profile and sign-in | Your account record and your authentication credentials. You will no longer be able to sign in. |
| Your documents and files | Everything stored under your account, including your Driver Qualification File attachments, photos, signatures, DVIR reports and their defect photos, and your profile picture. |
| Your records inside the app | Certifications, work and employment history, HOS logs, accident and ticket reports, and CTPAT inspections. |
| Your study guide practice | Your five most recent practice results for each guide, and any exam you had open but did not finish. Your carrier stops seeing your result the moment the account is gone. |
| Sharing links | Any link you created to share your credential file is revoked, so it stops working immediately. |
| Applications and feedback | Job applications you submitted, job board requests and offers, and any feedback you sent us. |
| Subscription entitlement | Your entitlement record. Cancel the subscription itself in the App Store or Google Play — deleting your account does not cancel it. |
| Mechanic profile | If you also used NextInspection with the same sign-in, that profile is deleted too. |
Kept, because the law requires it. This is the part we cannot delete on request:
- Your Driver Qualification File, if you worked for a carrier that uses NextDrive. Under 49 C.F.R. § 391.51, the carrier — not you, and not us — must keep that file for three years after you leave. A copy is retained in that carrier’s records. It is their record of your employment, and deleting your account does not remove it.
- Your application, if a carrier hired you from it. Same reason: it becomes part of that carrier’s employment record.
- Records we are required to keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons, for as long as the applicable law requires.
Everything not covered by those obligations is deleted. We do not keep a copy “just in case”.
